Janne Robinson | Life Coach – Special Edition
What is your role in the Salty Souls Experience ?
I am guest speaking/hosting three workshops on authenticity + empowerment throughout two Special Editions in El Salvador.
What’s your background and how did you acquire those skills?
I believe knowledge comes from second hand experience–reading a book, university and wisdom come directly from experience. My wisdom and tool box I operate on life comes from starting a business as a poet and writer five years ago and sharing slabs of my heart with this world for a living everyday.
I am a self taught writer, poet, director, motivational speaker, and girl boss.
No pieces of paper, life & experience certified.
Skills acquired by being a professional winger & a risk taker.
Ninja super skill people don’t know you possess?
I worked at a wine and whisky bar in Edmonton that had over 180 scotches and whiskys. I am a complete scotch geek and could tell you stories of all female owned breweries, and romance the socks off you with each bottle–they all have a story worth hearing.
Favorite place in the world ?
Thats like choosing a favorite child. Broome, Australia. Tonsai, Thailand. Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Oia, Greece. Encinitas, California. Tofino, Canada.
What gets you the most excited in life ?
When I create a piece of art that I am really excited about. And surfing. And feeling the feeling of 100% belonging in any capacity—myself, other humans, other countries.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done ?
I once signed up for a camping trip in the mountains in Peru. We got picked up while it was still black out at 4 AM and there was no shuttle bus. They pointed at us to get in the back of a blue pick up truck with a bunch of locals sitting sleeping on rice sacs. It was pissing rain and we drove up into these mountains on sketchy roads in the black of the night. Some guy basically fell asleep in my lap and our truck tipped to one side a few times. This vehicle was following us with these two guys in it and I swore we were going to get robbed or kidnapped. We ended up getting let out in this valley by a stream and camping there for two days, and it was pristine and beautiful but it was one of the sketchiest things I’ve experienced as a traveler.
