UNDERWATER TRAINING

Did you know we breathe +20.000 times a day? And that probably most of us are not using their respiratory system to its fullest potential and thus, limiting our physical and mental performance.

Now imagine being able to not only increase your lung capacity and vitality, but also understanding how to use your breathing to master your emotions, specially during challenging situations in the ocean.

During the Salty Souls Experience, we will dive deep into the world of conscious breathing and breath holding, with trainings on the dry land, in pool and in the ocean. The end goal is not to reach a certain time or distance. Apnea Training allows us to tap into a deep state of inner connection & relaxation that will redefine your underwater experience, as well as your relationship with the ocean.

1 Theory + ‘On-land’ breath training session
3 Pool sessions (static and dynamic)

Who is this Experience for?

This adventure is for women aged anywhere between 18 and 108 years old who are craving the extraordinary. We are looking for vibrant, passionate and active girls, who are not afraid to get wet!

The Surf & Underwater Training Experience is pretty unique and definitely not a regular offer on the travel market. If you are feeling the calling, dive in! This an occasion for you to challenge yourself, and deepen your knowledge of surfing, breath-holding and mind-mastery in a supportive environment.

Having a burning desire to be part of this is all you need; no prior experience in surfing, apnea or backflippin’ is necessary.

To live this experience to the fullest, you’ll obviously need some very good fuel, and that’s why you’ll get to enjoy delicious & healthy meals all week long. The Salty Souls’ approach is all about eating clean, without compromising the pleasure. We believe in finding the right balance!

Our cook chooses fresh and local ingredients to create finger-licking meals full of superfoods, which will make you feel physically awesome! The menu is vegetarian (with fish) and dairy products are optional. You’ll undoubtedly be heading back home with a bunch of new recipe ideas.

We include all meals, besides 3 or 4 that will be eaten out.

Where

The Villa

Picture a rustic Spanish-style villa, nested on a cliff, over looking a black sandy beach, with endless crashing waves in its backyard. Yep, the Casa Salty Souls it is, located in Playa El Zonte. It can accommodate 12 people over two pavillons, in shared occupations with air-con. There is two large oceanfront pools, a sundeck, a nice chilling area with hammocks, a direct access to the beach and enough space for yoga & big communal meals!

About Playa El Zonte

Playa El Zonte is located on the pacific coast, 1 hour away from the International Airport. It is a layback costal village, where you will mostly be surrounded by friendly locals, fellow surfers and sun seekers. It is a safe and pleasant area, where the invitation is to live simply, following the rhythm of the tides. The beach is divided by a river mouth and there are two main surf spots: A right point break and a beach break. One of the most unique thing about playa El Zonte is the beauty of its black sand beach.
