What is your role in the Salty Souls Experience ?

I’m mostly in charge of the yoga & self-development aspects. Beyond the time spent on the mat, I’m taking care of the blog and the visual marketing (website, social medias strategy).

My goal through the practice of yoga, is to help you get more in-tune with your body & mind, experience the sweet sensation of energy running down your spine and help you generate new flows of ideas!

What’s your background and how did you acquire those skills ?

I’ve studied Arts & Graphic Design, in Montreal and in Italy. Before the end of my studies, I started my own jewelry brand, and I’ve learned on the spot alot about being an entrepreneur. I ended up working with various other fashion brands, and intuitively started exploring more about this universe and the power of a good brand image.

When I sold my jewelry company, I took off to Indonesia on a one-way ticket. Not only did I fell in love with Bali (who doesn’t?), but it is also where the magic happened and I truly fell in love with yoga, even tho I had been practicing in Montreal before. I completed my 200+ hours Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Barn in Ubud in 2015, and more recently did another 200 hours of Hatha training at The Practice in Canggu.

What’s your biggest challenge within the Salty Souls Experience ?

There is seriously so many challenges ! But my biggest one is probably to find the means to stay confiante and centred in my vision of the project. It takes courage to believe in your dreams, but you need to double the dose when it’s time to make them happen. It is also challenging to own my role of teacher and leader. The more you put yourself out there, the more you allow others to see your vulnerability..

Ninja super skill people don’t know you possess ?

I’m having an abnormal number of premonitory dreams. I generally don’t tell people, ‘cuz it always sound kinda weird when you tell them you’ve just “spent the night” together… Haha!

Favorite place in the world ?

I believe we fall in love with people and perfectly magical moments, more than with geographical locations… I can now definitely admit that I’ve fallen hard for El Salvador ; the incredibly welcoming local community, the super mellow lifestyle, the never stopping waves. Indonesia, Montañita in Ecuador and Popoyo in Nicaragua also are the places I keep going back to !

What gets you the most excited in life ?

Laughing very loudly, surfing, teaching, discussing wild ideas, innovative projects and sharing adventures stories with passionate people. I feel the most alive when I’m being physically and mentally challenged !

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done ?

There is different kinds of crazy, and I would straightforwardly say doing one of the highest bungee jump in the world, scuba diving at night, or doing a wet t-shirt contest in Australia (like seriously, whyyy ? haha !)…

But truthfully, I think the craziest thing I’ve done was selling the shares of my company while it was still in the up-swing, getting rid off all my “stuff’’ and leaving for Indonesia on a one-way ticket. Having the guts to say f*ck it, this is not making me happy, I’m out. That’s my kind of crazy.
