Salty Souls Experience

JOURNALING EXERCISES : Design Your Dream Life

“If you’re frustrated because you’re not getting what you want, stop for a second: Have you actually flat-out asked for it? If you haven’t, stop complaining. You can’t expect the world to read your mind. You have to put it out there, and sometimes putting it out there is as simple as just saying, “Hey, can I have that?” ― Sophia Amoruso, #GIRLBOSS

At Salty HQ we firmly believe in physically writing down your goals and dreams for the year ahead. Why? One word: manifestation. When you put pen to paper you are a) making yourself accountable to your dreams and 2) actually asking the universe for what you want, rather than expecting it to guess what you want. So let’s do it.

<> The 6 Buckets of Life <>

Take your journal & pen out, and at the top of 6 different pages write down these categories (1 page per category) :

RELATIONSHIPS  – Friendship, intimate, family, work relation, etc

CAREER / PROJECT – daily job or personal projects

METAL GROWTH – Spirituality, personal development, learnings, reading

PHYSICAL HEALTH – exercice, nutrition, habits, rituals

ADVENTURES / LIFE EXPERIENCES – travel, activities, hobbies, discoveries

LIFESTYLE – Habits — Towards the environment (be more conscious), towards others (give back), towards yourself

>> Step 1 – For each category, identify 1 to 3 goals or intentions; what would you like to improve, change, grow, start, accomplish… Be precise so you can stay accountable. (ex. I want to meditate 5 mins every morning. / not: I want to meditate more…)

>> Step 2- For each objective identify :

2.1  What is/ has been stopping or limiting you ?

2.2. A person who could help you (teach you, keep you accountable, be a point of contact).

2.3 What is the first action step to take for make it happen ?

<> Manifesting Your Tribe <>

Who are your direct peers? What are they doing? Are they elevating you or holding you back? We said it a million times and we’ll say it a million times more: you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with. That’s why it’s important to conjure up your dream team of high-vibe go-getters, professionals or just rad humans you want in your cat pack this year. Seriously, this is a tried and tested ritual. Do this exercise and when you look back on this year you’ll be amazed at how many of these people have become your friends, or what synchronicities brought them to you in the most unexpected ways.

Identify 2-5 people for each of those categories :

A – People you already know, with whom you’d like to cultivate a closer connection / spend more quality time.

B- People you don’t know closely, but whom you’d like to get to know better / get the chance to further connect with.

C- People you’d like to learn with or study from.

D- People that you consider rather inaccessible, but you’d like to get the chance to cross paths with in life. (Dream big !)

Finally, why don’t you share this page with a person you deeply care about, someone who you’d like to see benefit from these exercices too ? Pull your friends UP !
