What is your role in the Salty Souls Experience ?
Cath: Get the salty girls to sweat ! I’ll be the lead trainer during the week. I want to share my professional athlete knowledge to help them improve their health, lifestyle, nutrition and movement practices. I want to see them unleash their inner beast :).
Max: Introduce the basic notions of self-defense. Give the girls a taste of the sport of jiu-jitsu while improving their fitness level.

What’s your background and how did you acquire those skills ?
Cath: Professional strong-woman

When I am always on tour, I learn how to manage and organize my time efficiently. I also learn a lot from living with various teammates and constantly being in a high performance environment. My job as an athlete requires me to take care of my body and mind daily while having impeccable lifestyle habits.

With jiu-jitsu specifically, I learned how to manage my emotions with ease and I am therefore better equipped to control day to day stressors.
Ninja super skill people don’t know you possess ?
Cath: I can drive a bobsleigh down icy tracks at crazy speeds.
Max: I practice yoga and…the man can dance !!
Favorite place in the world ?
Cath: Jamaica. The people, the food, the music, the heat, the nature, the culture and the diversity.
Max: Brazil. The home of Brazilian jiujitsu.
What gets you the most excited in life ?
Cath: I’m excited the most in life when I get to pursue things I am passionate about with like-minded people. The salty souls experience, my sport, physical training, taking care of my body and anything I feel is meaningful.
Max: Movement first and foremost. Jiu-jitsu and philosophy.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done ?
Cath: Before getting into bobsleigh and personal training, I used to do competitive skiing. During a speed training session in Chile I reached speeds of 135 km/h on my downhill skis.
Max: Jump in a half-frozen lake at -10°.
